The Company:
Our Client is a Leading Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry. This role supports our client's projects in Iraq and is based in Iraq on a 28/28 rotation.

The Role:
Manage the development and deployment of the project's Information Technology and Communications (IT&C) applications. The project manager will be the focal point for project delivery, timing, scope and budget for a given application. They will be responsible for the gathering and sign off of user requirements (functional specifications) and working with the DBA, network and infrastructure teams to effectively deploy application and put in place the on-going support arrangements.

Key Accountabilities
Project Managers usually have following positions reporting to them or via a PM:

• PMO, Project Management Office

• Project manager for application, usually a contract supplier
o Training and MOC Lead
o Development and
o Testing Lead
o Technical Lead

Key Accountabilities:

• Project management of IT&C application development and deployment, most often using the Capital Value Process (CVP) for project delivery.
o This involves assisting with the solution evaluation (appraise/select)
o Project definition and funding (define)
o Project build and deployment (execute)
o Application delivery to the IT&C support organization (operate)

• Compliance with HSSE requirements in the delivery and execution of all project work

• Managing project spend against approved budget.

• Contracting, in conjunction with SCM and project requirements
o Compliance with project supplier selection process – CRC, CMC, JMC
o Project resourcing – In conjunction

• Communications to steering committee and to the relevant stakeholders

• Management of change against the project timing, budget and scope

• Handover to operations providing the basic documentation
o Technical Infrastructure Plan (TIP)
o Build documentation
o Network impact assessment (usually part of TIP)
o Long term maintenance agreement(s)
o Disaster recovery process
o Transition to application support

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrated leadership skill in Expat environment
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Experienced project manager with a record of application development, deployment and support in hardship locations
• Understanding of the Capital Value Process (CVP)
• Basic understanding of application architecture, including software/hardware requirements.
• English verbal and written communication skills
