The Company:
Our client is a Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group inside which you’ll find an incredible range of expertise and opportunity.
They offer their clients a complete range of skills and services so that they can work with their teams right from the earliest ‘ideas’ stage of their planned investments, through the study or concept selection phase, the front-end design, the EPC phase, and on into the commissioning and start-up phase.

The Role:
Experience in managing major EPC or PMC contracts within the process plant industry ie petrochemical,refinery,LNG etc

Arrange meetings with Marketing ,Proposals and Commercial Groups to review and handover contract and proposal documentation prior to commencement of work.
Organise the Kick-Off Meeting with Key Assigned Personnel and the Client.
Arrange an early issues of key projects document eg execution plans & strategies
Brief the Project Team/Task Force in accordance with the TQM Project Management Procedures, and apply TQM techniques throughout the project execution.
Co-ordinate the activities of the main functional groups through their Management/Lead Engineers as appropriate on the project.
Initiate the formulation of project policy or recommendations to the Client in key areas.
Review with Departmental Managers the progress of work in their discipline areas as required; commenting on assigned staff assessment reports on request.
Lead problem-solving sessions at all stages of the project, using TQM procedures where appropriate.
Maintain cost awareness by all project personnel throughout all phases of project execution.
Prepare the Project Manager’s Report and critically review other inputs to the Monthly Progress Report, ensuring that the report is issued in a timely manner by the date specified for the Contract.
Approve and authorise project activities which have commercial and financial impact.


Identify and communicate the objectives for the project team in accordance with the contract terms, scope of work and divisional policy
Communicate these objectives to the project team, Department Managers and Client.
Organise the project team and agree the assignment of all key personnel.
Motivate the project team towards the determined objectives through proactive communication, and by maintaining continued personal interest in achieving set targets.
Achieve scheduled performance, cost, quality, health, safety and environmental requirements of the project from contract award to Client’s acceptance.
Ensure that designated systems are adopted by the project team as soon as possible, after contract award.
Negotiate all contract changes with the Client.
Act as primary contact and maintain satisfactory relations with the Client.
