The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Plan, resource, manage, review and handover designated projects, aligned with Company Strategy, client requirements and client schedule and project management plan. To realise high quality projects timely, within budget and without incidents. Satisfy the client and enhance Company’s reputation as a first class engineer and fabricator.

To ensure adherence to Company Policy and procedures. The Project Manager should.
Quality, safety, health and environmental awareness (e.g. responsible for own and others safety).
To perform tasks which may be requested by Management, from time to time.
To represent company in all matters concerning the project
To develop the project strategy
To assist in the preparation of tenders
To approve procurement of project related items
To monitor project costs against budget and ensure all costs are up to date and signed off.
To monitor subcontractors and vendors
To ensure that a vendor/subcontractor performance file is maintained
To liaise with Client
To evaluate progress reports
To represent the company in meetings with the Client and to prepare and distribute minutes of meetings
To control the authorised system documentation issued by the QA Department
To ensure that the procedures are followed and maintained.
To stimulate personnel in quality, safety, health and environmental awareness.
To ensure correct implementation of the company Quality/SHE Policy.
To identify and report possible quality problems to the Company Management and recommend possible solutions for such problems
To perform Safety Intervention Discussion (SIDs) providing that training has been completed
Individual risk awareness within job role.
Identify and highlight any further training requirements of their personnel.

Authority:
To approve the appointment of project team personnel.
To approve project related procurement.
To approve timesheets and holidays for key project personnel.
To verify project related expenses.
To delegate tasks under his responsibility.
To approve timesheets, holidays and expenses.
Authorisation levels as detailed in QAD 225.1.
To approve appointment of departmental personnel.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Successful SHE Induction.
Engineering Materials Science or equivalent qualifications.
Minimum of 5 years fabrication/mechanical experience in a senior/management position.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
An understanding of company Quality, Safety, Health & Environmental systems & programmes.
Communicate in a positive manner with subordinate staff and other departmental managers.
Planning & Organisational skills that enable the implementation of the company strategy.
Must be computer literate.
