The Company:
Our client is a major global Oil and Gas EPC management company that can cover small Brownfield projects to major Greenfield projects.
They are a growth company who can serve as a Sole Supplier, Joint Venture or Subcontractor. With a proven track record of delivering large scale complex projects they are a progressive and attractive company.

The Role:
We are currently sourcing a Project Manager – Chemical and Oil & Gas Projects to join the North East Office on a staff basis.

The key elements of the role are :

Safety – Responsible for personal safety, promoting through leadership the elements of our OneWay Process, working within the HSE procedures.
Ability to take full responsibility for all aspects of a large EPCM project (circa £20M), including Engineering, Procurement, Project Controls, Risk management and Construction Management
Candidate would be responsible for delivery of quality documentation on time and within budget.
Proven ability to establish and maintain excellent client relationships
Responsible for issue of accurate & prompt reports to Client and Company
Good communicator with all parties including Company project internal, Company management, Client and Construction
Prepare & input to monthly project reviews for in conjunction with Project Controls
Control, monitor and progress the design and contract deliverables to an agreed project schedule.
Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems.
Prepare or supervise preparation of proposals and presentations
The candidate would report directly to the Manager of Projects
Apply good interpersonal skills, liaising across the organisation with members of other disciplines and departments.
Already have experience as a Senior PE/Project Manager on Chemical and/or Oil & Gas EPCM type Projects.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Membership of recognised institute
Substantial experience of EPC/EPCM engineering projects, including managing multi-discipline design activities.
Good written and oral communication skills, demonstrated through client interaction, supervision, proposals and presentations.
Ability to negotiate successfully with clients and contractors through engineering and construction phases of the project.
Candidates must be eligible to work in UK, i.e. right to work in the UK must be obtained
Position is Billingham office, so candidates need to have a location which permits a reasonable journey into work
Candidates must have actual experience of being responsible for execution of several projects
