Role

The Planning, Performance and Learning Team within the Safety & Operational Risk Function in the Angola Region is leading on the development of S&OR related content in the OMS Local Business Processes (previously known as a local Safety Management System).

The Team is also leading on the development of a Transition Plan for S&OR-owned OMS Sub Elements which manages the risks and activities required as the FPSO project transitions into operations.

As a result of organisational changes a project manager is required as a temporary role, reporting to the Planning, Performance and Learning Manager to manage both these areas of work. The role is expected to last in the region of 6 months. The role would be expected to be based in Sunbury with no travel anticipated.


Scope of Work
1.Manage the delivery of the Angola Region S&OR content of the Local OMS, ensuring consistent application of OMS and Client Standards as well as compliance to Angolan Law.

This will involve:
-Engaging with Region Leadership Team to determine documents required
-Engaging with document authors to determine delivery schedules and processes. Also coaching in the use of the Region document template.
-QA and QC of Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Engineering documentation.
-Working with the third party document support contractor in formatting and “Plain English” reviewing the documents
-Co-ordinating Region-wide reviews of the documents (including legal review)
-Working with the Document Controller to ensure correct document metadata
-Tracking document progress
-Monitoring project delivery through KPIs
-Providing updates to the PPL Manager
-Manage the re-issue of updated documents (including those currently being updated as a result of the organisational changes)

At present there are estimated to be around 80 documents which will require development.

2.Project Manage the Region on developing and implementing the HSSE Transition Plan for PSVM, working in collaboration with the PSVM delivery team.

This will involve:
-Scheduling and leading meetings between Region and PSVM Project key personnel
-Facilitating the conversations with recommendations where appropriate
-Writing the Transition Plans using the agreed format for each OMS Sub Element which is part of the project
-Project Managing each Plan to closure.

There are expected to be 15 Transition Plans in total.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience
The following areas of experience are required for this Risk Specialist role:
•Project Management Experience
•Understanding of broad safety and operational risk areas
•Excellent interpersonal skills / ability to work with a wide range of people.
•Excellent verbal communication and written skills.
•Technical degree or equivalent qualification.
