The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the accurate and professional delivery to the customer base, of projects executed in the process industries, ensuring that a high quality of service is delivered to specification, on time and to budget. You will potentially be working across all groups within the process industries, which includes Paper, Metals, Minerals, Chemical and Pharmaceutical segments.

Key duties and responsibilities include:

• Ensuring ethical behaviour is in line with code of conduct at all times.
• Managing the environmental risks associated with the business unit.
• Have strong awareness of general Health & Safety Rules and management thereof.
• Working knowledge of commercial aspects of service contracts including contract law and management of risk.
• Applying strong Sales techniques, especially when selling services.
• Creating Tender documentation in line with current procedures.
• Apply strong planning and time management skills
• Maximising the scope of the existing Service portfolio to sell and deliver added value solutions to customers.
• Planning and driving the overall expertise of the service team within Service through training, personal development, workshops, documentation and knowledge sharing
• Understanding Customer Service principles and how they effect the business.
• Seek to develop cross business opportunities into the wider Country Service Team
• Interacting and managing key and new customers and their expectation of the Service product.
• Planning and organising of own time to maximise customer facing time
• Delivering professional presentations of the business offerings in line with corporate branding and standards
• Review commercial terms & conditions to meet with the offering, obtaining approval from the legal department when necessary
• Formulating project & quality plans to achieve order schedule
• Organising support resource inside the business to get the correct skill input
• Providing all project documentation, including but not limited order acknowledgement
• Capturing all variation orders to enhance project delivery with generation of additional quotations as necessary
• Managing costs and margins through project execution, identifying any financial risks
• Working with price lists, discount structures and foreign exchange rates
• Act as a company representative in customer progress meetings and negotiations (pre/post order)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Relevant project management degree
• Demonstrate excellent customer focus
• Good networking skills, able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally
• Strong business acumen and understanding of commercial conditions
• Strategic thinker
• Ability to make an Impact and influence change
• Strong people skills
• Prepared to travel, as necessary to customers/project site

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Good understanding of the companies product range and solutions
• Good understanding of support structure locally and product providers/factories
