The Company:
The company designs, constructs, transports, installs and removes offshore facilities for the global oil and gas industry. During the last decades they have become a significant international player in the offshore oil and gas construction industry. The Group consists of two divisions, each with a specific role in the activities of the Group

The Role:
Function:
To plan, resource, manage, review and handover designated projects, aligned with company strategy, client requirements and client schedule and project management plan. To realise high quality projects timely, within budget and without incidents. Satisfy the client and enhance the company's reputation as a first class engineer and fabricator.

Responsibilities:
• To represent the company in all matters concerning the project
• To develop the project strategy
• To assist in the preparation of tenders
• To approve procurement of related items
• To monitor project costs against budget and ensure all costs are up to date and signed off
• To monitor project subcontractors and vendors
• To ensure that a vendor/subcontractor performance file is maintained
• To liaise with the clients
• To evaluate progress reports
• To represent the company in meetings with the client and to prepare and distribute minutes of meetings
• To control the authorised system documentation issued by the QA department
• To ensure that the procedures are followed and maintained
• To stimulate personnel in quality, safety, health and environmental awareness
• To ensure correct implementation of the quality/SHE policy
• To identify and report possible quality problems to the company management and recommend possible solutions for such problems
• To perform Safety Intervention Discussions (SIDs) providing that training has been completed

Authority:
• To approve the appointment of project team personnel
• To approve project related procurement
• To approve timesheets and holidays for key project personnel
• To verify projected related expenses
• To delegate tasks

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering Materials Science or equivalent qualifications
Minumum of 5 years experience in management within fabrication/mechanical engineering, ideally within the Oil & Gas sector
Planning and organisational skills that enable the implementation of the company strategy
Computer literate
