The Role:
Responsible for the management of Project Engineers and Discipline Engineers in mutli discplines teams with specific scope of work in line with contracting strategy and assurance.

The position holder will be required to utilise their proven management skills and competencies to demonstrate measurable deliverables in in the following key areas:
• Effective leadership
• Project and Programme Management
• Management of bid evaluation process from tender to contract award.
• Overseeing Project cost and schedule monitoring, control and analysis
• Team building and alignment with project values
• Relationship management with internal and external stakeholders and interfaces.
• Quality Assurance
• Accountable for delivery under the Project Performance Contract.
• Project change control
• Commercial awareness and accountability to budget for Capex/Opex KPI’s.
• Interface management
• Risk management
As a key and integrated responsibility the role requires due priority to be given to achieving safety, health and environmental standards through the project life cycle.
Working closely with the CAM (Contract Accountable Manager) to ensure contracts are managed and Assured in accordance with contract conditions.
Being responsible for the management of the project through the various stage gates from bid phase, through Select and Define to execution of major capital projects within the integrated development.
Maintaining design integrity and quality within the project team(s).
Effective management and control of risks through engineering design, construction, installation, and commissioning.
Focus, development and delivery of cost performance to benchmark and delivery on budget. Develop initiatives to improve cost effectiveness and efficiency of the project execution.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• An Engineering degree and strong technical background with extensive oil & gas industry experience, specifically onshore upstream projects of major capital value.
• A proven track record in managing international engineering projects
• Demonstrable experience of managing multiple vendor and contractor interfaces
• Sound understanding of applicable local & international engineering standards and codes of practice
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
• Working knowledge of industry standard business support systems i.e. project planning packages, cost management systems, ISO9001 quality management systems
• Quality Assurance knowledge, awareness and responsibility.
• Safety awareness and responsibility.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Articulate and able to communicate and interface at all levels
• Focus and commitment to task and delivery. Able to motivate and engage teams as an effective leader.
• Commitment to project values and a one team approach whilst operating in a hub location.
• Position based in London office for initial approx.12 months then relocate to Contractors office once contract is awarded. Exact location of Contractor office is not yet known as will be dependent on contract award.
• Position holder will be required to go on business trips to Middle East (for a which a medical must be completed and passed)
