The Role:
The Project Manager / Team Leader is responsible for the day to day management of the engineers and projects within their team. This includes ensuring that engineers are guided and understand the expectations placed upon them. They also are required to ensure that the team’s projects proceed in line with quotation and customer requirements.

The Team Leader will often be the nominated Project Manager and / or Technical Lead for projects within their team. Where these roles are delegated to others the Team Leader will retain oversight and be responsible for reporting the commercial and technical performance of all projects within their team.


• Checking and approval of technical deliverables (where appropriate)
• Support the Group Technical Lead in ensuring technical processes are adhered to
• Provide technical guidance to engineers and ensure the tasks performed are in line with the quotation and Task Initiation Forms
• Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded

Commercial / Project

• Attend and provide information to commercial reviews to ensure project performance is satisfactory, including budgetary adherence, variation processing, reviewing risks and invoicing
• Ensure all customer, commercial and quality processes are adhered to, with support from the Project Assistant
• Produce quotations in line with appropriate processes


• Support the Group Leader to ensure sales pipeline is accurate and current
• Attend pipeline review and support with closing out actions
• Ensure pipeline and projects details are up to date on the spreadsheet and PT3
• Attend the Team Leader meeting, to ensure day based resource plan is updated weekly and is accurate 4 weeks in advance
• Day to day supervision and development of engineers within the team
• Support Group Leader in the SPDR appraisal process

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
•Experience of design and substantiation of structures.
•Project management of projects.
•Some team management would be advantageous
