The Company:
Our client is an Engineering Services company, who are an international technical consultancy, providing a range of services including licence to operate, asset management, manufacturing improvement and capital investment to customers in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and consumer industries worldwide

The Role:
Responsible for the successful execution and delivery of assigned projects for the Analytical (CWA/CGA) product lines, The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, able to work well within a cross function team environment and able to communicate clearly with management as well as peers.

 Work with the UK Technology manager, develop annual plans to ensure the agreed projects are delivered on time and to budget.
 Project Leadership and SHE:
1. Provide holistic leadership to the entire cross functional team (R&D, supply chain, manufacturing, product management, production engineering, service, etc)
2. Ensure projects are pro-actively managed so all critical paths are kept as short as possible and constantly tracked to minimise any slippages
3. Ensures that project risk assessments, method statements and COSHH assessments are completed. Set the climate to ensure all personnel give this area correct level of attention.
 Scope and Change Management:
1. Executes as per agreed scope outlined for all functions
2. Closely controls/monitors cost of bill of materials as part of scope management and any major change to it are reported and if required approved before implementation
3. Any major changes to the scope to the project is formally approved and documented
 Project Planning and Scheduling:
1. Plans, monitors and controls project tasks
2. Understands critical path scheduling and assures a minimum but sufficient project float.
3. Works with UK Technology Manager to optimize overall resource planning and utilisation
 Project Risk and Opportunity Management:
1. Carries out qualitative risk assessment with the input from the team and proactively pursues the management of the risk reduction/mitigation plan through their owners
2. Reports risks to the Project Steering Committee that may impact on the scope, time to market, project cost, product cost and specification
3. Identifies new opportunities and proposes to the Project Steering Committee
 Project Finance and Cost Management:
1. Understands the labour cost approved and ensures that cost are controlled/monitored
2. Understands CAPEX approved and ensures risks associated with such investment are assessed before placing purchase orders
 Project Reporting:
1. Accurately report in Steering Committee meetings
2. Accurately keeps record of gate reports
 Legal and Compliance Management:
1. Ensures that all relevant Standards and guidelines are adhered to.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
 HND/Degree in relevant subject (Business, NPI, Engineering) with minimum of three years of experience in managing multi-function projects
 Competent in using Microsoft Project
 Self-motivated, able to take the initiative
 Good communication skills – expresses opinions/judgements clearly. Makes presentations and undertakes public speaking with confidence
 Presents complex problems succinctly

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
 PMP® certification from Project Management Institute
 Experience of working in a multi-site
