The Company:
Our Client is looking for a numbers of Project Managers with the following background:
specifically experienced in Top side
specifically experienced in Ship Repairs
specifically experienced in New Building

The Role:
Responsible for individually allocated Projects. Project planning and scheduling. Co-ordinating with Vessel Owner’s representative, all trades and Yards Senior Management. Co-ordinating with Invoicers on commercial issues. Preparation of all documents concerning the Projects.

Responsible for: (The main job activities)

•Responsible for planning and running of the projects allocated by the Manager-Production Control (Operations).
•Ensure that all operations carried out conform to the Safety, Quality and Environment standards of the Yard and meets the customers contractual expectations. Liaise and co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including the Planning and Commercial to ensure compliance to the regulations and project specifications.
•Liaise with the Trades and make all necessary schedules for the project (preliminary, completion and revisions.) Ensure that all activities relating to the project are properly planned and that the plans and responsibilities are understood by all concerned parties. Identify any yard process which may cause delays or which can be optimized and propose solutions for the same.
•Responsible for monitoring the progress of the project to ensure timely delivery of assignments while maintaining standards and cost effectiveness. Develop, plan and update the project schedule, timelines and milestones using appropriate scheduling tools, to include all dependencies and critical path. Ensure programs are front lined on daily basis. Assure that all critical path activities are performed in accordance with the planned schedule. Develop contingency plans in advance in case items on the critical path are delayed.
•Effectively manage the project team including personnel from the functional departments and ensure effective communication at all times
•Arrange project meetings, internal and external as necessary to ensure the effective management of the project.
•Tracks trade’s man-hours. Ensure proper control of working man-hours and efficiently co-ordinate with the Invoicer.
•Customer care. Accountable for daily contact with the customers representative to report status, resolve issue and negotiate changes to schedule.
•Achieving high Customer Satisfaction.
•Ensure that all project / contract deliverables including final documentation are properly submitted to the client in timely manner. Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
•Perform other jobs related duties as assigned by the section head

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Required Competencies:
• Basic Project Management skills.
• Functional knowledge of vessel and sound knowledge of the on board operating systems.
• Have the ability to interpret specifications and technical drawings.
• Stress tolerance
• Adaptability
• Muti Tasking.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

•Naval Architect or Mechanical background with experience gained in a large shipyard and workshop or repair yard with conversion facilities. Ideally the candidate should have a sound working knowledge of the procedures and processes undertaken in shipyards.
•Ship management or sea going experience will be an added advantage (LNG, Dredger, Tankers, ULCC/ VLCC experiences are desirable.)
• Previous managerial experience.
• Good Communication skills.
