The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
The Gorgon Logistics team have a requirement for large number of assets (vessels, berths, barges, etc) to be mobilised in the domestic supply chain. This Project Manager (PM) position, reporting to the “Logistics Asset Additions Team” Senior Project Manager (SPM), will be responsible for delivering one or more of those assets to the project in accordance with schedule. The timely mobilisation of the additional logistics assets are critical to achieving the construction schedule.
The PM will be expected to deliver the assets. Although it is possible that a Project Engineer may assist the PM on a part or full time basis, there will be no other personnel reporting to them, other than part time support from the Logistics and overall project organisation

A summary of the role description is as follows:

•Responsible for the mobilisation of the Gavea Lifter (inc access ramp), Berth 4, tugs and barges & MPVs
•Writing and expediting, through the approval system, all necessary Management of Change and Contract Change documentation
•Provision daily and weekly status reports to the SPM
•Interfacing and negotiating with contractors, suppliers and other third parties (such as part owners)

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
15 years project and/or construction management experience managing implementation teams and contractors and interfacing with clients and other key stakeholders to project success
•Some marine and/or logistics experience would be preferable but not essential
•Good communicator (written and oral)
The critical attribute for person filling this role is that they have good general project management skills.
