The Company:
An international EPC Company involved in LNG and Mining Projects.

The Role:
Requirement for large number of assets (vessels, berths, barges, etc) to be mobilised in the domestic supply chain over the next 6 months on the Gorgon Project.

This Project Manager position, reporting to the “Logistics Asset Additions Team” Senior Project Manager, will be responsible for delivering a berth upgrade at the main Perth Supply Base port (AMC) to allow the loading of vessels from a sunken barge (the Gavea Lifter) that will be used as a berth extension.

The upgrade will involve extending the existing berth to provide a Ro-Ro facility and abutment to the barge. The timely mobilisation of this asset is critical to achieving the construction schedule.

The PM will be expected to deliver the asset. Although it is possible that a Project Engineer may assist the PM on a part or full time basis, there will be no other personnel reporting to them, other than part time support from the Logistics and overall project organisation.

This role will primarily be involved in interfacing, influencing and expediting the AMC management into completing the upgrade in accordance with the project’s expected schedule. The role may also investigate the use of nominated contractors, with AMC approval, as an alternative to completing the work more quickly.

This role will also involve:

-Writing and expediting, through the approval system, all necessary Management of Change and Contract Change documentation.
-Provision daily and weekly status reports to the SPM.
-Interfacing and negotiating with contractors, suppliers and other third parties.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-20 years project and/or construction management experience managing implementation teams and contractors and interfacing with clients and other key stakeholders to project success.

-Strong marine facility engineering and construction experience is considered essential.

-Familiarity with the AMC yard and its management organisation would be preferable, but not essential.

-Good communicator (written and oral).
