The Company:
Our Client is an International Oil and Gas Operator involved in 2 of Australia's largest LNG Projects based in Western Australia. The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager Planning (Performance) based on a 12 month contract in Perth.

The role will involve:

Planning and Performance
• Track performance and provide trend analysis and reporting for the Contractors delivering Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation and Commissioning (MEI&C) work scopes.
• Review of plans and planning documentation to ensure they maintain alignment with project specifications
• Provide interface between Contracts, Cost Team and Project Manager for technical related correspondence received from the Contractor.
• Respond to Request for Information (RFI) and Commercial Letters received from the Contractor for Planning related items.

Planning Process
• Provide insight by review of all Company and Contractor Planning output to verify the accuracy and quality.
• Develop fit for purpose methodology for executing work(s) not captured within base scope processes.
• Develop and implement Planning Procedures ensuring integration of external interface(s) including progress measurement, materials and additional work scope(s)
• Providing guidance for update and implementation of Construction planning standards, processes and procedures.
• Identifying opportunities for planning process improvements.

• Provide visibility of key decision points including potential change
• Maintain visibility of progress trends and potential impacts offering measured mitigation
• Identify process inefficiencies including development of proposed optimisation(s)

Health, Safety, Environment - Manage contractor safety performance
Provide visible safety leadership that encourages an incident and injury free environment.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Candidate should have at least 20+ years’ experience in major process facilities covering Engineering Design, Fabrication and Construction Activities.
• Experience within the construction industry, specifically of LNG plants and knowledgeable with industry fabrication/construction methods and procedures and installation practices
• Advanced skill level for Primavera/Oracle Planning package(s)
• Experience with project controls processes on major projects in excess of $10bn
• Experience of Schedule Risk analysis
• Experience in Claims analysis
• Ability to identify and correct process interface issues and opportunities for the Planning function
• Capability to define and manage multi-discipline and multi contractor interfaces for a major project within work schedule(s)
• Ability to undertake detailed analysis including interpretation of planning, progress and related project performance data
• Ability to maintain Company Commercial position(s) for the Planning function
