The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
The project engineer is responsible for management and delivery of the relevant DV activity for engine programmes to support engineering sign-off.
They will be the key interface between the specific development / durability activities, feeding the results back to the relevant customers ensuring these are delivered on time.
They also support planning activity for future programmes.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in a suitable engineering discipline, or suitable previous experience.
Self driven with a strong engineering background, excellent team working skills and an understanding of Product Development processes, GPDS principles, instrumentation and test facilities.
Demonstrate the ability to lead the resolution of technical, business and process issues within a team environment.
Good communication, interpersonal skills and self confidence are personal qualities needed to succeed, being self motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision.
Must have a driving license valid for use in the UK.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Good analytical skills & PC skills Excel, Word and Project Working knowledge of gasoline and / or diesel engine,
Powertrain systems and calibration.
Disciplined approach on planning, prioritisation and records keeping.
Previous experience of Engine and Powertrain systems are considered desirable.
A knowledge of vehicle systems would be beneficial.
