The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
A full time Programme Manager to be responsible for the delivery of the UK NSC Retail Vision Programme working alongside JLR UK Business Lead and responsible for managing the Programme day-to-day to ensure that the desired Programme objectives are delivered.

- Establish and manage the appropriate programme structure which brings together the planned Must Have project/products the UK NSC wants to start deliver this year. This will include supporting the setup of Sprint/Lean teams to deliver the work, supporting the scoping of required work, designing the Sprint backlogs of projects/products and producing the FY15/16 workplan and deliverables. - Design the Programme and project governance framework, eg scrums where applicable) and the reporting requirements to the UK First Lines. - Support those new to Agile in the project teams to understand Agile principles and how to incorporate them into their planning and project/product management process. - Understanding programme dependencies and ensuring the impact of these on delivery is built into Programme workplan. - Shape and drive the Programme as a collective whole to manage overall delivery of the Programme, ensuring that any impact on time or cost and subsequent scope impacts are assessed and appropriately communicated. - Develop, manage and own the Programme Plan and monitor its overall progress and put tools and delivery tracking methodology in place. - Collate fortnightly status on all projects/products in flight, tracking burndown rates against plan and ensure programme stays on budget and time and makes appropriate and transparent scope changes where applicable. - Support the Business Lead in building commitment to the Programme through overseeing active and appropriate communication across the UK NSC and JLR Global stakeholders. - Manage Programme issues and risks and initiate corrective actions and mitigation plans as appropriate, escalating major issues upwards as necessary

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential: Experience of successful setting up, and/or managing delivery of large blue chip projects or programmes, with knowledge of programme management methodologies, including Agile and Lean and techniques - Essential: Demonstrate experience of giving personal commitment, leadership and involvement in delivery of a project or programme.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Deliver all the necessary documentation required for the Progamme to pass through JLR governance gateways. - Where applicable, support vendor RFQ process. - Ensure that the required JLR and contractor resources are committed to the programme delivery and provide day to day direction to all resources involved in programme and individual workstream delivery, specifically providing guidance, advice and input as required to workstream leads.
Knowledge of Agile and Lean programme management methodologies - Excellent interpersonal skills to establish rapport, credibility and relationships at a senior level across JLR, to effectively represent the Programme and explain its purpose/benefits positively to internal and external stakeholders. - Demonstrate a proactive and enthusiastic approach to delivering a large transformation Programme - Demonstrate an understanding of the broader and strategic context of the Programme and be able to interpret, influence and apply that into effective outcom
