The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Seeking a Project Manager Substations/ Powerlink to provide technical and organisational capability to client's gas field operations and manage associated staff, contractors, plant & equipment and associated road assets to support the business going forward. Oversee the installation of four (4) transformers at compression station locations, and manage the interface between client and Powerlink construction activities across the Upstream Project. Site based role living on camp. Rotation from Brisbane.

The incumbent will report directly to Senior Project Manager Infrastructure & Roads, under the leadership of the Project General Manager North. Their peers include the Project Manager Infrastructure and Road Infrastructure Manager. This role has three direct reports including two Superintendents and a Project Engineer.

Position Specific
• To ensure safe and efficient installation of transformers at the four Upstream CPP locations
• Prior to execution – ensure adequate execution planning and preparation is conducted prior to the mobilisation of Powerlink in order to ensure efficient client and Powerlink project delivery
• During execution - ensure excellent management of interface and SIMOPS between client and Powerlink
• Manage conflicts as and when they arise during execution
• Advise management of issues requiring intervention at higher levels
• Ensure effective management of hook up activities by managing interfaces with compression, water treatment, operations and Powerlink organisations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance and personnel management associated with infrastructure networks and power activities
• Experience in working with contract staff and contract negotiation
• Experience in supervision of skilled technical staff and power contractors
• Demonstrated experience in commitment to safety
• Consistent track record of delivery on projects with international experience in leading C&P activities on large projects
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline or relevant experience in the management of a range of construction activities
• Able to influence at the highest level with client at a functional level and in Joint Ventures and Third Parties
• Detailed understanding of road design specifications, materials and licensing for extractive operations
• Detailed understanding of road logistics and road plant operation
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Budgeting and financial reporting skills

• High level of analytical and problem solving skills
• Initiative and capacity to exercise good judgementAbility to collaborate with a number of teams to provide safe, well maintained and sustainable project infrastructure
• Ability to create and manage budgets
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans relating to infrastructure
• Track record of consistently delivering projects
