The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Provide support interface between the SVO Engineering / Programme Management teams, and the Manufacturing Teams, assist resolution of cross functional specs / technical / manufacturing issues prior to Job 1. PDL Authorship. Knowledge of JLR PDL system advantageous. Future MY VPP Creation & Management. Develop and maintain vehicle specific BoM, Facilitate SVO Change through Core FCIM team participation. Assist the delivery of credible cross functional launch plans that meet the requirements of the markets and are fully integrated into the production operations site strategies. Aid SVO Problem Resolution, Change Management and Product Integrity (GFCPA), processes to ensure that all changes are implemented robustly and support programme quality, cost and timing objectives. Work with Design & MS&S in development of robust product proposals and associated business cases

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the ability to influence the broader team when delivering platform/vehicle line objectives. Therefore, leadership, good communication, interpersonal skills, self-confidence and a 'passion for the product' are personal qualities that are needed to succeed. The applicant needs to be self-motivated and able to deliver with minimum supervision, as well as the ability to motivate others to deliver to their requirements. Previous experience within a project management, engineering, or manufacturing related environment is considered desirable with a good knowledge of the product development process and PCDS. Experience of project or supplier management with a track record of meeting demanding timescales would be beneficial. Ideally educated to degree or equivalent level.
Minimum 1 years experience working in a similar role within the automotive or a related industry, with demonstrable track record of delivery.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Knowledge of JLR project delivery & change management processes including PCS/PCDS an advantage Be able to demonstrate high levels of leadership and people development skills.
Whole vehicle programme and engineering management and launch experience. JLR specific process knowledge ideally gained in a Product Development environment.
