The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
My client is looking to recruit a Project Manager who will be responsible for the full project lifecyle for Transformers. Successful candidates must have sound knowledge of contract execution & pay particular attention to customer satisfaction. This role is key in terms of coordinating and interfacing with the global Feeder Factories and other key internal departments.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Executing contracts to achieve the Company’s targets, objectives and mitigate commercial risk.
• Act as the main point of contact for the Feeder factory and aim to build strong working relationships
• Be available for regular travel to UK & overseas factories / clients / sites.
• Manage all commercial / engineering documentation in co-operation with the feeder factories to achieve the project objectives.
• Seek opportunities for continuous improvement within the departmental / feeder factory efficiency, minimising risk and elimination of error and optimisation of project deliverable efficiencies.
• Take responsibility for the financial deliverables and budgets from point of order to acceptance of the final account.
• Identify and implement profit maximisation where possible in the scope of supply.
• Seek profit enhancements by effective material selection and contract negotiations with major sub vendors where applicable.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Electrical Engineering degree or HND in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• UK Transformer industry sector knowledge.
