The Company:
A global Oil & Gas Operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

The Role:
KEY ROLE
To provide expert input to engineering and marine teams in matters related to Mooring vessels, Stability of vessels, structural and seagoing integrity of vessels and barges, sea fastening and attachments of temporary mission equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES & OBJECTIVES
• To be the Naval Architectural expertise within the marine team
• To provide Naval Architectural support the wider project community as directed.
• Ensure the specification, design, modification, construction and commissioning of marine structures and systems is carried out in accordance with the relevant Engineering Technical Practices and OMS requirements.
• Provide naval architect support for inspections and testing programs for marine activities.
• Review contractors marine procedures
• Liaise with Marine Warranty surveyors
• Verify design specifications and construction standards for replacement marine equipment or temporary mission equipment in accordance with relevant ETPs.
• Provide naval architect support as the discipline lead in development and technical endorsement of MoC proposals and Risk Assessments for the project.
• Review and verify mooring analysis
• Perform structural and condition surveys in support of Marine Assurance program
• Attend loadout’s and inspect sea fastenings
• Review and verify vessel stability and strength data.
• Provide discipline support for emergency response to any project incidents, including participation in incident investigations that relate to marine integrity/stability.
• Approach all problem solving from a risk mitigation perspective ensuring that processes and decisions result in the overall reduction of risk associated with the project’s marine activities.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Marine project management experience, including marine design, construction and commissioning experience, commensurate with demonstrable technical and leadership competence to an expert level.
• Degree qualified Naval Architect. Preferably a member of RINA or similar professional body.
• Proven ability in working in high performing and multi-disciplined teams.
