The Company:
The client is a leader within the Automation and Control Systems field with operations in 100 countries worldwide. They specialise in providing integrated solutions to the Transmission and Distribution and Oil & Gas industry with projects offshore and overseas.

The Role:
Successful candidates will be required to manage the planning process by providing clear unambiguous programme information that gives visibility of project status at all times.
This will be achieved by liaising with all stakeholders to develop logic driven, fully resourced and cost loaded programmes that identify key interfaces and are prepared at an appropriate level of detail for effective control. You will also be required to prepare and distribute progress reports, programmes, histograms, EVM analyses and projections.

Key Duties will include:

• Developing fully resourced and cost loaded programmes
• Conduct resource capacity analysis and produce reports
• Predict and provide a progressive programme outlook
• Advise the Project Manager and project teams on programme progress
• Complete monthly reporting and ensure that all programme updates are completed monthly.
• Maintain records in sufficient detail to enable an accurate account of contract history
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, engineering and other internal departments
• Assess the impact of change and associated risks in terms of programme key dates, deliverables and costs

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Experience of planning complex software or engineering projects
• Experienced in working with project planning software (Primavera an advantage)
• HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline
• Advanced IT office skills such as MS Office (Excel essential)

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• SAP business system experience would be an advantage.
