The Role:
Department : Business and Stmtegic Planning Department
Direct Supervisoa· : Business & Strategic Planning Manager

1. Job Purpose:
Responsible for providing the planning, alignment, stewardship (analysis, progress against plan and
reporting support for the Business Planning and SHE Strategic Initiatives. Responsible to effectively
interface between SHE&Q and Corporate Planning in support of annual completion of Departmental
Objectives.

3. Key Result Areas:
Business and Strategic Planning
• Ensure Group compliance I alignment with the Corporate Business Plan Development and
Stewardship Procedure, the clients Strategic Leadership Process and Corporate Covenants
• Support development of SHE Group Mission I Vision I Goals and Work Program Maps
• Coordinates and conducts analysis of annual SHE Survey, PTAI Benchmarking Reports and
builds recommendations into Gap Analysis
• Works with SHE Departments to develop Annual Business Plan including Objectives,
Implementation Plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
• Prepares and coordinates weekly SHE highlights rep01t, monthly Business Plan updates, Board
Reports, MDIELT Business Performance Reviews and Organizational presentations on SHE
progress against targets
• Supports SHE Group initiatives
• Conveying of decisions of the same to the relevant departments and custodian of all records
created thereof.
• Maintains tendering and bid waiver status records and produces reports to Senior Management
and Board Members .

4. Opemting Environment, Framewol'l<. and Boundaries:
Works in a developing environment where priorities are adaptive.
Works with all SHE departments to develop, monitor, and adjust plans and priorities for budgets &
Annual Business Plan.
Needs to provide advice and guidance on activities and work effectively in a complex multi-national,
multi-disciplinary environment.

5. Communications and Working Relationships:
Communicate the results of analysis work through graphics, written reports, and meeting
Presentations.
Informed dialogue and direct line communications with the Departments within the SHE Group and
with Finance within the Company as required.
Limited outside contact.

6. Problem Solving/Complexity:
The position demands the ability to conceptualise and unde1take complex analytical thinking.
A complex issue for this role is keeping abreast of new developments and trends in the IT industty,
Audits, etc. (multi-skilled role).
Responsible for the identification/extraction of relevant data and subsequent analysis using a wide
range of analytical tools/techniques.

7. Decision Malting Authority and Responsibility:
Works within established Company procedures. Position requires good analytical and evaluative
thinking capabilities.
Ability to make suggestions and recommendations coupled with risk and consequences is essential.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong presentation skills, proven
leadership ability and relationship-building ski lls.

8. Knowledge Sldlls and Experience:
• University Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years project planning experience required
• Candidates must be able to interact with all levels of management and be an excellent team player.
• Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and
customs.
• Good presentation and delive1y skills.
• Minimum 5 years varied experience in cost control, administration and budget administration,
preferably in oil and gas industry.
• Strong computer skills and experience with SAP & Microsoft Office, remarkably in graph and
presentation.
• Needs to have the skills and technical abi lity to produce, monitor and re JOlt on project planning
software such as Microsoft Pro· ect of Primavera.
• Needs to be able to work with non-planning professionals to take information and put into standard
planning templates to assist the business department and also the other SHEQ Managers, as
directed.
