The Role:
Due to the continued growth strategy of our clients Procurement Team they have a current opening for a suitable qualified and experienced Project Procurement Manager to join their team based at Sellafield.

Reporting to the Head of Strategic Procurement they are looking for a highly motivated Purchasing Professional who will bring a level of energy to the purchasing team.

The role requires the individual to take ownership of a portfolio of major projects based onsite at Sellafield.

To achieve this you will need to effectively manage all procurement related activities for assigned projects, ensuring effective use of resources and processes (including other Regional Procurement Groups), thus achieving procurement of all Project requirements to budget, delivery and quality.

In this role you will lead the development of specific procurement strategies and procurement execution plans and procurement cost reporting, to supervise commercial evaluations and manage effective negotiations to enable the most efficient use of the market place and to ensure the maximum benefits to the project.

You will have excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to lead and influence internal/external stakeholders through positive challenge to achieve the best results for the business.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have a HNC in Business Studies or Mechanical Engineering and have CIPS Accreditation.
You will have experience of implementing contracts for EPC Projects and working with work breakdown structures.
You will have a number of years working on Nuclear projects and preferably at Sellafield site.
With the recent introduction of our Oracle business system experience with Oracle would be a great advantage and provides the opportunity for the individual to contribute to the purchasing team’s application of its capabilities
