The Role:
The Global Projects Organisation (GPO) is accountable for the line delivery of Upstream's global portfolio of over 45 major projects. GPO has 4 key roles: .
- Integration, with overall accountability for FM delivery from the beginning of project appraisal to first production, .
- Optimisation, with a focus on selecting the right development concepts, leveraging standardization, segment scale and learning, .
- Execution, continuously improving efficiency with rigorous performance management, .
- Advice, to inform segment portfolio decisions.

assurance activities of the Shah Deniz Phase 2 (SD2) Onshore Facilities Terminal Project throughout project execution.
Project Quality Assurance Engineer reports to Shah Deniz 2 Early Delivery Works Manager.

• Monitor Contractor’s Quality Assurance activities to ensure compliance with requirements & objectives of the company Global Agreements and Project Contracts.
• Carry out audits within the Project Management Teams to ensure compliance with company practices & procedures.
• Provide Assurance that all company Operating Management System [OMS] requirements are implemented within the procedures & processes implemented for the projects.
• Assist in the maintenance of company Project Quality Plans & other appropriate company Project quality documents.
• Conduct audits of Suppliers and Sub-Suppliers to facilitate the Contractor’s subcontracted selection.
• Work with Assurance Leads / Assurance Engineers from other Delivery teams to maintain the Audit & Non-Conformance Corrective Action Register and monitor the status of Findings & Corrective Actions/Observations, driving them to closure.
• Coordinate the collection and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to the Onshore Facilities Quality Manager;
• Assist in the maintenance of the web-based Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure that it is up-to-date.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Degree in Engineering and/or
• Five years of related experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control and/or Engineering positions
• Two years of working experience in Oil &Gas industry or petrochemical industries

• Construction site experience
• Management / auditing experience
• Previous experience of QA/QC managing contractors while in a Client / Operator position.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• ISO Lead Auditor desirable
