A major Oil and Gas contractor

The Role:
For a position based in Paris we are looking for a Project Quality Engineer with a large experience on Subsea project.
He/She will have to:
- Assisting the Quality Manager for the implementation of the Quality contractual requirements and all project documents such as Quality Plan, audit schedule, etc
- Ensuring satisfactory interface, participation to the weekly meetings and communications with the Client's quality representatives in a pro-active / positive manner;
- Primarily focusing on the Umbilical package (involving the Umbilical vendor and its associated subvendors and fabricators) and overseeing all Quality aspects related to Umbilical, from design to manufacturing, inspection/quality control and site supervision until delivery. This includes frequent short term missions to the manufacturing plant located in the UK;
- Coordinating overall Quality Control activities with inspection, package managers, and subsea operations with a primary focus on Umbilical plant;
- Help in reviewing, evaluating and auditing the effectiveness of Vendors and Subcontractors Quality Management System; • Managing and following resolution of NC from Vendors, subcontractors and internal operating centres raised during all phase of the project,
- Identifying QC problems, to initiate actions to result in effective solutions and to recommend action to control further processing of non-conforming items or deficiencies until proper disposition has been effected (Management of Change),
- Tracking and reporting of performance indicators (KPI’s),
- Assist in the preparation of the Monthly Reports to COMPANY.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Min. 5 years of experience on Subsea projects.
• Experience in Quality management of umbilicals fabrication
• Competence in Quality Management System in Engineering field and Quality Control Management in Subsea
• Experience in internal & external QMS audits (ISO 9001:2008)
• Good understanding of the interfaces between Engineering Disciplines, packages, support and management functions, as well as key factors affecting the performance of a SURF contract
• Ability of performing coordination of activities with package manager, procurement inspectors, fabrication QC teams (S/C), third parties and installation/ operations engineers
• Ability of setting, tracking and reporting of KPI’s,
• Excellent communication skills experienced in Client/Contractor relationship (Contractor side)
• If not from a native English language, excellent Command of the English language (including technical vocabulary, procedure preparation, and formal reporting)
