The Company:
Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, assembly, test, installation and commissioning of bespoke solutions for the nuclear decommissioning, defence, and nuclear new build markets.

The Role:
To coordinate, support all quality control related activities within the project to ensure products are engineered and manufactured in accordance with a stringent standard of quality.

• Non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis and leading investigations
• Internal Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) Capture, Progress Monitoring, Follow-up and close out.
• Responding to customer and 3rd Party audit CAPA requests, assist with actions plans, and ensure timely CAPA closeout
• Quality Records Control and Management, helping to ensure proper storage and filing is carried out.
• Provide technical support and solutions to inspectors and lifetime quality records teams.
• Production of Quality Plans and Procedures. Review and QA Approve documents requiring QA approval e.g. Manufacturing and Test Documentation
• Liaising with customers and suppliers on quality concerns
• Act as in-house council to provide guidance and solutions to other internal functions when quality concerns and queries arise.
• QA input on Tendering
• Carry out final release of parts at supplier premises

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum HNC or equivalent
• Sound knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001 and BS EN 14001 standards
• Minimum 2 years Background in Quality Engineering in nuclear, aerospace, or oil and gas engineering and manufacturing industry preferred
• Data analysis, Investigation and Problem solving
• Change management and process development
• Technical Report writing and presentation
• QA techniques and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, 5 why, Kaizen
• Self motivated to be able to work with minimum supervision and able to use own initiative to provide solutions to problems
• Excellent team player for working with colleagues and customers of all levels effectively and build relationships with others to achieve key objectives
• IT Skills; Sound knowledge with all elements of MS Office. Experience of working with databases, process and mind mapping tools are also desirable
