The Role:
The Project Quality Leader takes full responsibility for assuring the project team deliver the project quality results and ensure customer objectives are met.
The mission of the is to:
Reinforce customer quality interface for the project team.
Have an independent customer position in the project especially for escalation process of quality risks.
Support the plant and project organization to secure launch and rampup.
Be the link between plant quality organization and project team.
Customer ppm, TS16949 adherence, Quality Costs, Green (non-event) launches, Budgeted hours adherence, Launch PRR’s

Complete the tasks as defined in the PM, EPM, MPM & SPM SOW.
Complete the deliverables as defined by the operating, methodology, technical standards &/or the customer specific requirements putting the evidence in KEOPS that he/she is responsible for.
Manage the development hours budget using PAMS reporting.
Manages his metier perimeter (including metier experts & suppliers) during the whole development phase, with a
focus on cost, quality, timing
Lead the customer APQP process to achieve the customer approval by deploying the customer specific requirements to the core team members and validating the core teams deliverables before presenting to the
customer with the Program Manager.
Represent the project team when interfacing the customer for APQP reviews, complaint reporting and product quality reviews.
Identify the gaps in the quality deliverables to the customer requirements back to the core team members and escalate to the Program Manager and Customer Quality Manager when there is a risk to achieve the project quality objectives & customer satisfaction.
Represent the Customer when defining the acceptance to their requirements in internal product cosmetic audit & APQP evaluation reviews.
Deploy the Design for Quality into the project during phase 2, through the input from the Customer Quality
Manager & Plant Quality Managers, and ensure the actions that are defined by the core team members are effective
After the transfer of production equipment to the plant, provide feedback to the core teams members on the geometry, aspect & validation results for pre-series maturation up to customer approval.
Validates & ensures conformity of prototypes shipments with the respect of the customer requirements & quality commitments
Support the key decision making, risk, communication & project processes:
Prepare for the monthly Project Milestone reviews
At the end of each project phase and after the with the Program Manager communicate any major quality risks that must be addressed in the milestones.
Attend each launch readiness meeting
Report to the CQM on a periodic basis with the status of the quality deliverables and risks.
Contribute to the perimeter change process by supporting the core team members for the quality evaluation of any proposed internal /external change.
Support the plant team in order to ensure all quality processes are efficiently deployed into the plant organization and are effective to secure the start of production.
Support the ‘series / productivity’ change management teams for product / process changes / tools transfers that require updates to the customer APQP / approval documentation
Where a major customer or internal complaint has occurred leads the 8D problem solving process to meet the customer’s expectations.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company through the identification of lessons learned from the start of the project

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree BSc or MSc or relevant qualification
Automotive experience
The following technical skills and competencies are compulsory
TS16949 & Customer specific requirements for project concerned
APQP and PPAP deliverables
Project management
People management
Operational Customer quality management preferred
