The Role:
We are currently looking for a Project Resources Manager.
Responsible for the management of office based human resources on behalf of projects and in conjunction with function heads

To recruit required onshore office based project resources as requested by all Projects including E&C Projects, Asset Integrity Management and Concepts & Technology - to co-ordinate these activities with Project Managers and Function Heads ensuring appropriate approvals are in place
To work with in house recruiting agency resources as required by projects and functions
To work with HR colleagues in recruiting staff resources as required by projects and functions
To ensure existing resources are assigned to appropriate projects by working closely with Project Managers and Function Heads to ensure all onshore office based people are correctly assigned
Manage MPP in Akims by assisting the projects with requests in MPP and keep up to date and accurate. This is to include existing resource database and recruitment. This is an on-going process
Manage and chair weekly Project Resources Meetings - Resource Notes will be used to record requirements, actions and achievements
Manage and chair weekly Engineering Resources Meetings - Resource Notes will be used to record requirements, actions and achievements
Assist Senior Management Team and Project Managers in setting agency rates by giving advice to the management team of the market conditions w.r.t. agency rates within the Oil and Gas Industry
Facilitate internal changes to rates due to market forces and promotions for agency people and assist with staff reviews as appropriate
Assist Manager with resource capacity management - Help to develop culture and practice of long term planning for project resources
Manage resources in Pipeline with allocation to appropriate assignments/projects
Assist with the allocation of Summer Placements and new Graduates and Trainees into projects
Assist with tenders and project start up, with respect to resourcing
Member of Extended Management Team (EMT)

Be familiar with the HSE Operating System, HSE&Q Policies, principles, HSE Mindset and Just Care
Adhere to Personal Responsibility for HSE requirements, local site house rules and prepare a personal HS&E agreement with line supervisor and review regularly
Set good personal examples on HS&E issues within your areas of operation and influence, and report all accidents, incidents and near misses to your immediate supervisor
Complete all online HS&E training and awareness modules on the e-net
Actively promote the HSE principles, HSE Mindset and Just Care through personal commitment to HS&E
Demonstrate HS&E Leadership in line with company expectations.
Be clear when setting out expectations to the workforce and hold individuals accountable for their HSE performance in line with our rules of fair play and stress the obligation to intervene and interact with one another at all levels

Previous experience in project management and/or function head roles
Good understanding of the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry especially related to human resources, agency market and staff employment
Understanding of human resources requirements for projects within the Offshore Oil & Gas Industry

Varied experience within project management and engineering environments
UKCS experience of brownfield project multi-discipline resourcing requirements

Must be eligible to work within the UK

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to as least HNC standard/equivalent preferred

Excellent team working and managerial skills
Highly self-motivated
Excellent communication skills at all levels
Understanding of Client & Aker Solutions business drivers
