The Company:
Our client, a major owner/operating company, seeks expertise for offshore mega-projects in Canada.

This opportunity is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. First consideration will be given to residents of Newfoundland & Labrador.

The Role:
The Project Risk Coordinator provides overall guidance and leadership with respect to the risk management for the Project Management Team (PMT). Develops, maintains, and leads implementation of the Project's Risk Management Plan. Ensures that the EPC Contractors' Risk Management Plans are developed, then effectively implemented and monitored. Assists in bringing risk management findings to closed status. Keeps the Technical Manager and Project Manager informed of risk management issues that could potentially jeopardize Project Objectives.

• Plan / coordinate project risk resources (e.g., evaluate risk resources / staffing)
• Develop risk section for Project Execution Plans
• Identify / develop Project wide risk management processes & procedures (e.g., Project specific risk processes & EPC Coordination Procedures)
• Develop and provide Project risk assessment training (e.g., basic level risk training as defined by the Project and Company risk training guidelines)
• Coordinate development of the Project Risk Management Plan (PRMP). The PRMP includes the Project Risk Assessment Plan (PRAP),
• Assess effectiveness of the Project’s risk management program
• Interface with Project Team to conduct Risk Assessments.
• Facilitate HAZOP's (Knowledge of API 14C & PHA Works software), facilitate Scenario based Qualitative risk assessments
• Review Risk Assessment reports & provide recommendations for revision / upgrade
• Interface with Project Team to conduct Risk Assessments and HAZOPs and to report Risk Assessment Action Plan status.
• Steward risk action items to closure, including tracking and close-out
• Maintain Risk Assessment Schedule
• Monitor implementation of Project Risk Assessment Plan, including preparing Project status reports
• Perform risk-related studies
• Review project documents that affect Project risk management, such as project systems, contracts, and contractor risk systems and plans
• Oversee execution of contractor risk management system

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Minimum experience requirements are 5 years relevant experience in complex multidiscipline project environments or Operations environment
• Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline
• Subsea experience is considered an asset
