The Company:
Our client is a major operator in the Oil Gas industry

The Role:
The Pushing Reservoir Limits R&D team’s mission is to develop distinctive enhanced oil recovery (EOR) technologies that can be deployed at scale to maximize economic recovery of oil. To this end, ground-breaking work is being undertaken in a number of areas, including low-salinity, polymer, chemical and miscible gas EOR. Proven technologies currently being deployed at scale include LoSal™ EOR water flooding and Bright Water™ chemical treatments. These technologies, along with existing gasflood EOR – including the world’s largest hydrocarbon miscible gas flooding in Alaska – help to keep BP at the forefront of the industry.

A Project Scheduler is required to assist the R&D team in delivering an exciting EOR technology. This is a contract role from January to December 2013, with possible extension thereafter.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide project management assistance to Team Leader and Project Leader on a key R&D project
• Consolidate various milestones from R&D, procurement, commercial and other disciplines to produce an overall integrated Plan
• Proactively contact project team members to ensure delivery
• Identify issues to be worked ahead of time
• Organise, lead, summarise project reviews, track actions to ensure smooth delivery
• Track budgets, deliverables & milestones; produce monthly reports of project delivery vs. plan

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• Skilled in project scheduling and planning
• Skilled in project management
• Works well in multi-disciplinary team
• Good communications skills
• Proficient in MS-Project, Powerpoint, Excel

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal, communication and diversity skills
Strong commitment to Health, Safety and Environment
Self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Working knowledge of oil and gas industry
