The Role:
Our client, a leading mining organization is currently looking to appoint a Project Services Lead to their team. This is an 18 month contract position starting in February 2017 initially based in Brisbane than transitioning to site in March 2017.

Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
* Working under the direction of the Project Manager to ensure deployed Project Services resources deliver high-quality outputs and analysis
* Lead the project /study through tollgate and approvals and coordinate closure of all project services deliverables leading to project sanction.
* Provides expertise and management of Project Services resources deployed for study/project.
* Establishes and/or oversees the implementation of Project Services processes, methodologies, strategies, systems and functional plans for the study/project in alignment.
* Monitors Project Services data and reports, supporting the Project / Study Manager to ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery of study/project's objectives.
* Collaborates with Supply and Project Contracts and Procurement teams to ensure appropriate Project Services Requirements are included in all contracts, and functional interfaces are well managed (contract variation / Project Management of Change, claims, schedule integration, etc.).
* Collaborates with Finance to ensure accurate reporting of project commercial information to support Group Reporting and Planning processes.
* Implements capability development plans to ensure appropriately skilled Project Services resources matched to underlying study/project scope.
* Leads the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives, including programmatic opportunities for increased capital efficiency and productivity in the function.
* Deputise for and provide support to the Manager, Project Services as required.

To be considered for this position, the successful incumbent will have:
* Relevant qualifications in Engineering/ Construction/ Quantity Surveying
* Experience with study and execution projects in a similar lead role
* Demonstrable proficiency with Primavera P6, MS office, 1 Sap, PRISM G2 Contractor Management and Contract Systems, Project management risk tools (Primavera Risk, Crystal Ball, Palisade@risk)
