The Role:
The Project Services Team leader (PSL) is a member of the Project & Modifications (P&M) team. P&M is part of Gulf of Mexico Operations - Engineering Services within the Production Organization. The PSL is a member of the P&M leadership team reporting into the P&M Manager.
This position supports the delivery of a portfolio of Category C topsides projects at 4 offshore facilities.

Responsibilities:
Overall reporting of P&M spend, schedule and related analysis to Leadership and P&M team members.
• Control and analysis of emerging work and variance (including scope growth) on the P&M portfolio
• Preparation of GFO and LTP updates including integrated planning
• Coordinate the monthly KPI reporting for P&M with an emphasis on measuring, analyzing and performance improvement
• Continuous improvement on process and procedure with an emphasis on estimating and individual project schedule improvements.
• Assist with the implementation of Category C Projects Common Process as the structure to deliver successful projects
• Interface with the P&M project teams, Finance, Engineering Services, Activity Planning, PSCM, Construction and TAR Team, etc. on project activities
• Ensure projects meet their business and project objectives, and agreed baseline schedule, quality, and budget.
• Selection and maintenance of procedures/systems/tools needed to control portfolio
• Main Interface with backbone
• Develop and Improve Estimating capability on the team and drive improvements and best practices.
• Key input to DSP and business case at each stage gate to verify norms in the area of cost and schedule.
• Owns the performance management of the MOC’s related to P&M activity and ensures managed change of controlled documents.
• Project Portfolio reporting and analysis to ensure delivery of the program related to on time and on budget.
• Support P&M in management of the portfolio & control of contractor
• Project financial close out

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Finance or a similar professional discipline)

- A minimum of 10 years experience in project services
- Candidates should have a project services background with experience gained from new or brownfield projects (small, mid & major).
- Legal authorization to work in the US
-Candidate shall have experience in directing EPMS contractor

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Supervisory experience, including the leadership of others.
Ability to handle ambiguous data, information and situations.
- Excellent team player, demonstrated team building skills
- Strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are required across all levels of the organization
- Good negotiating skills; strive for the “win-win” solution
