The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. Within the nuclear sector they have an exceptional reputation for delivering innovative, cost-effective business and engineering solutions to owners, operators, regulators and suppliers to nuclear licensed sites.

The Role:
Our client is looking for a Project Support Officer with a strong technical background combined with commercial awareness who can work with project teams that are geographically remote. The Project Support Officer will support the Project Director in ensuring that projects are performed in accordance with KPI's and progress reporting to clients is improved such that weekly or fortnightly progress reports are issued to all clients. The Project Support Officer will also be responsible for generating project plans and CTRs and assisting with written proposals for new enquiries. The Project Support Officer will also have responsibility for tracking project costs and ensuring timely billing using the JCR tool as well as monthly reporting of forecasted costs via the PSRs

Project planning and CTRs.
Ensure projects performed in accordance with KPI's
Progress reporting to clients.
Cost tracking and timely billing.
Cost reporting.
Risk management.
Stakeholder management.
Allocation of resources to jobs.
Estimating, support to bids/tenders.
Managing change / variations.
Manage inter unit working.
Responsibilities not limited to those listed.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
HND qualification and relevant experience maybe considered (degree level educated pref).
Studying or looking to develop in project management, perhaps studying APMP.
Experience of project support, involving cost reporting/forecasting.
High level Excel skills. IT aptitude.
Highly motivated and proactive, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
Skilled at collaborative working, have good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively.
Customer focused and a high level of relationship management skills.
Flexible and prepared to take on new challenges.
Able to work to KPI's, tight deadlines and under pressure.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Driving licence would be beneficial as there will be some local travel.
SC clearance beneficial but not essential.
