The Company:
Our Client, an Iron Ore Joint Venture, is a partnership between global business leaders; working with a major Iron Ore Operator on its multi-billion dollar growth plans in Western Australia.

The Role:
Responsible for the implementation, support and inventory control of project systems. Also responsible for the license management, compliance and reporting of the project systems and applications.

Key Activities
· Implementation, support and inventory control of applications used
· Develops and implements the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
· Evaluates system specifications for business requirements
· Develops and prepares computer solutions
· Works closely with management to prioritize business goals and information needs
· Ensure applications are configured to meet project execution requirements.
· Assist application specialists with software technical or work process issues.
· Assist information manager to ensure overall project software compliance.
· Manage local project support for the Reference systems or other project automation tools used.

Minimum Requirements
In order to perform in this capacity the Project Systems IT Analyst should have:

· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
· Maintains strong attention to detail
· Solid understanding of business practices with fundamental understanding of project management methodology
· Requires excellent computer skills
· Windows desktop environment and general Microsoft Office tools.
· Software development background; implementation, testing and support.
· SQL / Oracle reporting
· Electronic file and data security

In addition to the above, the Project Systems IT Analyst should have :

- Ability to learn quickly
- Ability to work independently and efficiently complete tasks
- Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
- Ability to contribute in a team environment

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
· Average years of direct experience: 4 - 6
· Average years of IT/Automation experience: 4 - 6
· SQL Experience
· Project execution experience from at least one engineering discipline/document management in Mining and/or Oil & Gas industries

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Experience managing Windows Servers
- Experience managing Web or Database servers
- Knowledge of Networking (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory)
