Is a leading Automotive manufacturer and is currently experiencing an upturn in production with demand increasing globally.

The Role:
Scope
This role is reporting to the Functional Manager, Acoustics and Aerodynamics. The position is responsible for the management & co-ordination of EWA (Accoustics) project delivery across all projects to the required PEP (Product Emergence Process) gateway deliverables. The management of Project Integration Engineers, Budget & Planning co-ordinators. It will involve liaison and coordination of activities with Engineers/Senior Engineers within own Function, and with all levels in the business, up to Senior Management, particularly within Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, Quality and Manufacturing, and with external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery of EWA (Accoustics) requirements into project, EW project teams, cross functional teams and to ensure EWA (Accoustics) is making visible the project performance requirements such that late change is avoided.
EWA (Accoustics) representation at project meetings to secure EWA (Accoustics) requirements, and identification and reporting of project concerns to specific EWA (Accoustics) functional areas.
Planning & managing x-department & project synergies and ways of working opportunities.
Management of project budgets, budget spend profile, budget reforecasts etc.
Identifying activity conflicts & business priorities to EWA (Accoustics) Functional Manager for decision.
Knowledge and understanding of Bentley project systems, gateway and release processes in Bentley.
Managing project status in EWA (Accoustics) eg Milestone gateway tracking and status, PVR (Parts Validation process) tracking,
Reporting of EWA (Accoustics) responses to PDB’s (Product Description Book), AEKO’s (Engineering change request) VDS (Vehicle Build standards) etc
Management of EW vehicle requirements meeting to secure EWA (Accoustics) Vehicle usage
Planning and management of vehicle specifications & usage requirements within EWA (Accoustics)
Managing the vehicle build specification status documentation, production concessions and permits (e.g. NVH readiness).
Defining and planning own work and reporting technical status and progress.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Qualifications
Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline.
Preferably Chartered Engineer or demonstrable experience.

Previous Experience
Solid experience of project management & development in the automotive industry.
German language experience advantageous.
Alternatively could be a development role for an Engineer wishing to broaden skills with a view to further progression
