The Role:
The Projects C&V Engineer manages/directs/coordinates all Project regulatory compliance and IVB verification programmes and activities.

Key Responsibilities:
• In conjunction with Project Management/discipline teams, ensure compliance with offshore regulations with respect to UK SI’s / EU Directives, performance standards, safety case and associated regulatory requirements.
• Ensure project compliance with internal company control systems, consistent with ISO9001. Support/liaise with project QA/QC function to ensure quality compliance.
• Coordinate delivery of, and ensure compliance with, all Project related permits, licenses, notifications and consents (PLANC) with the applicable regulatory compliance authorities and contractors. Maintain and ensure compliance with the requirements of the PLANC register, through effective liaison with disciplines involved/3rd parties. Liaise with project planner to ensure integrated delivery with project milestones. Maintain regulatory compliance processes and information throughout all project phases. Facilitate and ensure resolution of compliance/regulatory issues.
• Prepare all compliance procedures, philosophies and specifications required to achieve the necessary/applicable permits, licenses, notifications and consents.

• Management of the project verification and examination (V&E) processes.
• Coordinate ongoing V&E scheme review and revision to ensure initial and continued suitability.
• Coordination of project combined/common schemes.
• Coordination of verification interface requirements in accordance with Verification Plan, activities and information between the Project teams, the IVB, the design & construction contractors and other stakeholders to deliver the verification Scheme scope requirements. Participate in meetings with IVB, contractors, 3rd parties / partners, to review and expedite progress against Verification plans and project schedules
• Coordination of IVB, and monitoring, control & reporting of V&E activities, including:
- Co-ordinate IVB Verification activities in line with Verification Plan, including visits to suppliers, fabrication sites and offshore.
- Attending monthly progress meetings with IVB, and ensure accurate reporting of verification activities, performance (KPI’s) and issues to project management and stakeholders.
- Progress/coordinate follow up and close-out of verification & examination report findings/comments received from the IVB.
• Internal: QHSE dept, and Technical Authorities, Engineering Managers/Team Leads.
• Project: Quality function, Project personnel, Design/Construction contractors, Project Compliance and Interface Managers
• Regulatory bodies: HSE, DECC etc,

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• HND/Degree (preferred) in engineering discipline with relevant experience.
• Experience in the offshore industry with some experience being in project compliance assurance activities and verification processes.
• Good knowledge of offshore industry project related regulatory requirements.
• Strong interpersonal skills suitable for working in a projects environment with a strong focus on achieving successful (safe and timely) project deliveries.

• Knowledge and experience in project safety, quality, regulatory compliance, verification and examination, internal control and ISO9000 requirements.
• Experience of on and offshore EPIC activities, with a strong technical knowledge.
• Technical awareness of client, national and international codes and standards (ASME, AWS, ANSI, PED, etc).

• Ability to coordinate and influence third parties through ownership, collaboration and team work.
