The Role:
Key accountabilities • Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively engaging the Company site team and construction contractors with actions that contribute to delivering on Company’s HSE expectations • Participate in the development, maintenance, assessment and communication of different levels Project Schedules. • Assist in performing “what if” and/or risked scheduling scenarios (as required) in order to recover schedule deviations along with assisting with development of alternative work sequences • Assist in the development of experience-based estimates for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case activity durations as inputs to schedule risk analysis (SRA) activities by working with respective activity owners (e.g .site engineers) • Work with the rest of the site planning team to observe, assess, evaluate, and determine construction activities first-hand to assess execution progress in accordance with the project schedule • Coordinate efforts with Company site team and various project stakeholders to ensure that contractors’ planning services & reporting meets SD2 coordination requirements • Work in compliance with Company planning and scheduling practices and procedures: • Review contractor planning and scheduling procedures, ensuring that they meet the requirements of Company and the contract Project Coordination Procedures and other planning elements of the contract. • Work closely with the project delivery area Cost Engineer to ensure costs phasing and forecasting aligns with the current control schedule. • Support interface management for integrating scopes and stakeholders external to Company.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Essential Education • Degree in Science, Engineering or similar discipline (e.g. Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
Essential experience and job requirements • Prior construction-related planning and scheduling experience on oil & gas facilities • Prior experience interfacing and working together with owner and contractor project services personnel • Prior experience working with internationally-based contractors • Prior experience closely aligned with job responsibilities • Experience of using Primavera version 6 (P6) and Microsoft Project planning software
Other Requirements (eg Travel, Location) • Ability to work well in a team environment of mixed-experience, mixed-nationality cost engineers at a construction site in Baku • Influencing and communication skills in English language. • Ability to work under own initiative. • Able to work well under pressure and produce quality reports and data against tight deadlines • Good inter-personal skills and behaviours (equivalent to Level H C
