The Role:
To provide tendering and estimating support, including the establishment of company processes and preparation of quotations and tenders.

Main Responsibilities:
Review invitation to tender documentation and generate tender/quotation compliance checklists.
Participate in tender kick off meetings
Establish and agree plans for ITT/RFQ response and effectively manage implementation
Produce documentation needed to comply with ITT/RFQ submission for technical and commercial elements
Comply with submission deadlines identified
Consistently apply Company policies and procedures for the management of ITT/RFQs
Create detailed scope of supply documentation
Prepare project handover packages
Co-ordinate internal resources assigned to complete proposals and attend all necessary meeting
Deputise as point of contact for projects, when required
With Engineering/design departments to compile technical specifications of deliverables and associated drawings
In conjunction with manager establish the basis of Company cost estimating system and processes including the introduction of databases etc
Collate information required to complete costing sheets
Liaise with procurement dept. on the requests for subcontract quotations
Analyse received subcontract quotations with regard to costs and commercial
Prepare base cost estimates for project for agreement with senior manager
Develop and maintain detailed costing basis for pricing
Comply with the company policies on health and safety Comply with company policies with regard to business ethic and professional conduct and act in accordance with the equal opportunity and diversity policy

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree and/or 10 years relevant industry experience in this field
Tender and bidding knowledge in the oil and gas industry
Good commercial knowledge
Minimum 10 years’ experience in tendering and estimating in the oil and gas industry
Managing tenders within International markets
Advanced user of Microsoft programmes (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to influence others and manage processes effectively
Completer/finisher
Production of documentation to a high level
Ability to perform under pressure in a fast track industry
Self-motivated/driven to deliver
Must be fluent in written and spoken English
Full UK drivers licence and passport
Appropriate clearance to work in the UK

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to manage, control and implement tender/bidding processes
Flexible and able to work as a supportive team player
