The Company:
Our client is one of the largest providers of energy consultancy and engineering support services in the Uk. This role is based within their Power Networks business.Power Networks role is to provide high-quality design, verification and assurance services for transmission substation solutions to clients.

The Role:
Our client is seeking to add enthusiastic development, verification and assurance personnel to their teams based in Epsom, Birmingham and Leeds.

They are looking for a 6 x Protection and Control Engineer with Commissioning Officer experience to provide expert advice across various projects to work ad hoc hours as and when required over the next 12 months.

Responsibilities:
Preparing project development engineering and technical specifications.
Reviewing specifications and drawings for both verification and assurance purposes.
Producing and managing technical and operational data.
Providing Client/ Supplier design interface and management.
Preparing, reviewing and managing protection setting calculations and commissioning documentation.
Reviewing tender returns, equipment specifications, protection & control schematics, method statements, protection settings and commissioning documentation.
To capture and share best practice.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Extensive Protection and Control experience in an Electrical engineering role, ideally holding a TP141 design authorisation.
Experienced in the design and application of protection to HV transmission systems, distribution networks and power stations, as well as being able to undertake fault level calculations and protection settings for complex / integrated arrangements and participate in factory acceptance testing.
An enthusiastic team player that is technically driven and above all safety conscious.
Additionally, it is expected that you will possess working knowledge of individual relay designs and be experienced in UK practises.
