The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position - Prototype Build Engineer - The position is within Hybrid Research. Research is a fast moving and dynamic area which requires adaptable and independent individuals to deliver class leading technologies to core engineering for delivery to end customers.

The work will involve developing prototype vehicles, and all supporting functions required to deliver high quality demonstrator vehicles in line with the hybrid projects.

The position will involve general workshop support, labcar preparation and support with fault finding during this preparation, Dyno Rig preparation and component/logistics management Order processing and Vehicle demonstrator build support.

Project will be both delivered internally and through working with external partners.

Warwick University (main site) travel to Gaydon, Whitley

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
High level of whole vehicle knowledge mechanical and electrical, with preferably previous whole vehicle build experience. PC Literate with experience of all MS Office, Google, Prepared to learn internal IT systems
Must be prepared to work to a high standard, excellent fabrication and fitting skills would be an advantage, Understanding and Interpretation of GA Drawings
Degree or equivalent experience

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Full Clean Driving Licence (Medical will be required) Workshop control experience, Health and safety aware.
HV Training (Senior Authorised Person)
