The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:

To ensure that the project Simulator & Prototype vehicles are completed to cost time & quality by supporting the prototype build managers during both the planning and delivery phases of the project builds.


1. Creation of Simulator and Prototype vehicle Bill of Materials / Parts Tracker, using company systems or alternative locally created documents where appropriate

2. Liaison with workshop & pre-series logistics areas to support the ordering and tracking of parts procurement processes through parts clubs

3. Ensuring quality of BoMs are maintained by liaison with project teams using company systems to track PDB CRs and Aekos. Updating relevant BoMs with latest information, where appropriate to the build

4. Support of vehicle build planning phases; Vehicle Specification, Build Planning, BoM, Parts Procurement, Delivery and Sign-off

Generating vehicle specific parts lists “ Pick Lists” & progressing / resolving parts shortages to support build timing.

5. Identify and support implementation of improvement measures to the BoM creation & parts procurement process

6. Involvement in local improvement events and activities


• Operates within an agreed budget and specification of build set out by the build manager
• Authorise internal parts procurement within agreed specification
• Accountable for identifying any issue or risk affecting vehicle delivery, the identification & implementation of necessary remedial action, ensuring this is visible and understood by the manager
• Formally signs off containment actions or deviations to vehicle build with agreement of vehicle end user

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
• NVQ (or working towards) in relevant engineering subject
