The Company:
Our client is a leading Global Oil and Gas Operating Company.

The Role:
The PSCM Category Management Analyst will work with the Category Management (CM) Team Lead, CM Specialist and line/functional team members. Key accountabilities will be to:

Assist the CM Specialist and CM Team Lead in demand planning and preparing category management plans at local level.

Provide Administrative support for day to day supplier management activities (e.g. maintain contract record files, resolve internal-SPU issues such as invoicing delays, raise formal contract notifications)

Monitor contract cost expenditure and compliance of suppliers

Collate, analyze and provides report data on supplier performance ahead of Performance Review Meetings

Consolidate available Sector Directorate and local market intelligence and validates local market intelligence against assumptions provided by the Sector Directorate

Provide inflation data to SPU Finance team

Gather all current contracts with SPU Collects; gets full understanding of scope, value and expiry dates; summarizes all contract characteristics into contracting plan to provide an aggregated view on current contracts

Gather spend data form contracting plans and assesses local business impact and supply risk and complexity for sub-sectors. Prioritizes sub-sectors using Kraljic model

Check that prioritization reflects current supplier segmentation

Analyze contracts expiry dates and other relevant time constraints or opportunities for each sub-sector (e.g. contract constraints) and submit to STL for sub-sector prioritization

Assists in the PSCM Sector Specialist and PSCM Sector Team Lead in category management plans preparation when required

Work across the strategic and Operational Procurement Teams to strategically source materials and services (RFP process, Total Cost of Ownership analysis, commercial evaluation and feed into negotiation strategy)

Works with the Ariba Administrator to create, MSS and SS events in the Ariba toolset to support the Category Management Team

Takes on commercial analysis where appropriate

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
-Minimum Bachelor's Degree
-Minimum 5+ in Supply Chain, Procurement and or Logistics.
- Advanced Word, Excel and Visio skills
- Internet savvy
- Solid communication skills including ability to listen, understand business issues, and analyzing data to resolve process inefficiencies

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:

• Oil & gas industry experience
• Experience with supply chain management process development and controls a plus
