The Role:
Category Delivery Specialist - PSCM Category Specialist - Hourly II

Position Summary:
This position is likely to travel occasionally to the North Slope, and will need to have an NSTC card prior to starting. A very small amount of travel to other locations is possible. The ideal candidate for this position will need to be mature, and capable of operating independently, as direct leadership will be offsite. Position will be working in Anchorage on a 9/80 schedule.
Role Synopsis
By engaging with internal customers and stakeholders to understand the business needs of the Integrity Management agenda, the individual will deliver value to the business through the sourcing of Goods and Services, from approved suppliers, in compliance with all relevant laws and regulation and within the boundaries of approved budgets. All as directed, by the Global Integrity Management Category Team Lead. The individual will also be responsible for assessing options and risks associated with supply chain activities, building supplier relationships in order to achieve superior supplier performance, negotiating commercial terms to deliver best value solutions, and the measurement/reporting of the value delivered.

Accountabilities
• Support the development of Contracts and Procurement Plan (CPP) with demand data for assigned sub categories.
• Support the review and/or development market sector or strategic sourcing strategies as appropriate.
• Develop and execute sourcing activities in alignment with applicable market sector and strategic sourcing strategies. Activities will typically include: development of specific sourcing strategies, scope development, supplier selection, bid packages, bid proposal evaluations, provision of analysis of results, commercial negotiation and compiling recommendations to award and securing relevant internal and external approvals.
• Build key supplier relationships and lead supplier performance management activities, such as, KPI tracking, PRMs and other activities intended to drive performance improvement.
• Conduct post-award contract management and administration as directed. Involving resolution of queries, supporting timely supplier invoice approvals, processing and tracking supplier change requests, monitoring contract expiration dates and ensuring extensions or renewals are executed to support continuing service delivery to the business.
• Ensure all contractual terms and conditions are reviewed by legal and leverage latest thinking in contracting methods to minimize risk and maximize advantage
• Execute contract negotiations as directed.
• Drive compliance activities (CDD etc.) securing required approvals and driving audit resolutions as applicable. Undertakes due diligence in mitigating all external supply risk from supplier selection through to contract execution
• Deliver robust cost management activities and minimize business risk via rigorous contract management control.
• Actively contribute to the transformation of Procurement Supply Chain Management
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Support and promote the use of PSCM tools approvals.
• Undertakes due diligence in mitigating all external supply risk from supplier selection through to contract execution
• Proactively build external relationships with cross industry peers including access to supply chain thought leaders to deliver continual thought leading challenge and subsequent benefit to client
• Participate in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned
• Participate in the active exploration of the wider supply and industry markets to identify opportunities that can be leveraged for greater benefit delivery or to mitigate supply risk e.g. involvement in technology exchanges.
• Supporting Safety and Operational Integrity through effective Supplier Quality Management
• Ensure all activities follow the Company’s Category Management Common Process (CMcp), comply with Joint Operating Agreements (JV partners) and NOC agreements as may be required.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
• Minimum of B.S. or equivalent in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or other relevant business or technical degree
• 5 or more years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or other relevant areas

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Desired Criteria
• Professional PSCM qualification (MCIPS) or equivalent.
• Excellent influencing and engagement skills with ability to energize others at all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• High level of energy, drive, and resilience in the face of resistance
• Knowledge of systems necessary to enable PSCM transactions. The systems likely will include some or all of the following; Ariba, Backbone, SAP and the MS software suite, SharePoint, Access, etc.
