The Role:
Contract Description
Contract administration begins after the award of the contract. The objective of contract administration is to ensure that both the Contractor and Company fulfil their contractual obligations.

Key Roles:
The Contract Administrator’s involvement, post contract award, embraces all activities necessary to be aware of the Contractor’s performance/actions in relation to the requirements of the contract and ensures obligations are met.

The Contract Administrator will:
Update and manage changes to Company’s contract models and maintain online contract repository
Work closely with Contracts Specialists to ensure appropriate models are available.
Perform Anti-Corruption Due Diligence exercises
Complete Statement of Requirements documents

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Contribute in highlighting existing or potential deficiencies that might result in deviations from the contract, disputes, requests for changes, and/or claims
Prepare deliverables list and contractual correspondence (i.e. Contract Plan, Schedules, QA/QC Plan, HSSE Plan, etc.), and ensure it’s responded to as required
Write contract briefs and ensure availability of contract documentation
Ensure change order files contain all required backup documents and are auditable
Provide input on procedural issues and contractual matters relating to contracts
Provide guidance to contractual disputes and contractual clarifications to existing contracts
Close out contracts in accordance with procedures and ensure all close out documentation is received from Contractor
Assists with the development and execution of critical sourcing activities
Provides input on procedural issues and contractual matters relating to contract documents
Ensures local contracts comply with master/global agreements

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Required Knowledge/Skills:
10+ years experience with contracts for engineering, fabrication and construction of oil and gas facilities (i.e. unit rate, lump sum and/or reimbursable contracts)
Strong background in understanding contractual, legal and commercial contract issues
Positive interpersonal skills dealing with internal stakeholders and external customers
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to influence others
Ability to work efficiently on multiple projects within tight deadlines
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Procon/SAP/Ariba (e-sourcing) experience preferred
