The Company:
Our global leading client is seeking highly skilled, experienced & capable contract international employees to work on a large multinational complex oil & gas project.

The Role:
The position reports to the Manager, operational Procurement and is part of the Luanda based PSCM function and will provide purchasing and expediting services for the Operations Facilities engineering team.
The service primarily includes purchases required for modifications and repairs when the requirements cannot be met from stock and/or local purchase agreements. Implicit in this role is the coordination of all enquiry and bid processes in accordance with the governing Client and SPU procurement procedures. All purchases shall be entered into Company’s ‘Maximo’ procurement system.
The position will also provide support to the Luanda based PSCM purchasing team where workload permits.

It is a key role in the delivery of the safety and production targets of the operation.

Key Accountabilities

• Maintain close contact with PSCM line and function in Luanda
• Maintain effective communication and team working
• Understand and follow the practices and procedures relating to the PSCM function
• Work closely with end users on the definition and procurement of the required goods
• Maintain contact with the nominated shipping agents to ensure timely shipment
• Quality check requisitions to ensure clarity of requirements and any shortfalls in data, such as certification requirements
• Check availability of goods and materials via the in place Purchase Agreements and requisition accordingly
• Single Point Accountability for the purchases from pre-qualification through to award
• Registering of requisitions, cross referencing to ensure alignment of all stages from requisitioning through to confirmed orders and then delivery
• Regular reporting of requisition and order status
• Expediting of critical (fast track) orders to monitor progress and delivery against plan
• Liaise with the suppliers and shippers to ensure prompt and clear dispatch
• Validation of orders and invoices
