The Company:
Is a leading Automotive manufacturer with a reputation for outstanding quality the world over. With demand increasing and an upturn in production, there is a need to bring further skills into the business to deliver on current and future projects.

The Role:
Responsible for representing Purchase in the project team. Facilitate Purchase actions within the project/modules and SET and other project related forums. Responsible for reporting and closing out actions in a timely manner to meet project timelines.

Reporting to the Functional Project Leader, acting as the interface between Purchase and Project.

- Ensure Functional communication of issues and involvement of required resource in resolution.
- Provide project related information to Head of Purchase Projects and Director of Purchase when requested.
- Support project related meetings within Purchase and the project.
- Responsible for facilitation Purchase project related actions to closure.
- Assist Functional Project Leader in the delivery of functional project deliverables.
- Deliver Purchase expertise to projects by supporting the Project and Module leaders in the preparation and negotiation of targets.
- Provide Purchase support to resolve cross functional issues.
- Maintain Purchase project KPI's.
- Support other project related activities as requested by Head of purchase and Functional Project Leader.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Educated to degree level or equivalent.
CIPS qualification would be advantageous.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Able to demonstrate experience in automotive management or automotive purchase environment.
Project management and reporting skills.
Experience of communicating with all levels of the organisation.
Must be a team player, be self motivated and demonstrate a flexible approach to work.
Ability to influence and negotiate to obtain a win-win to meet business objectives.
Microsoft skills, in particular, Word PowerPoint and Excel - Microsoft Project experience would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Product Emergence Process (PEP) would be an advantage.
