The Company:
Our Client is a world leading Automotive OEM which is responsible for some of the most iconic 4x4's & Sports Cars produced. Due to the huge demand for current models and substantial investment in future projects there is a requirement for more resources across the business in engineering & manufacturing on a contract basis.

The Role:
Position Description:
PVO, Prototype Vehicle Operations Planner. To ensure the success of prototype planning and build key activities as detailed for their designated programmes. Manage all associated early prototypes to ensure each build phase is planned for and executed successfully in support of development plan. Scope will cover all early prototype activities from BIW, Paint, Trim and Final, Vehicle engineering, Logistics and Powertrain.

Skills Required:
• Good Project management skills are essential but equally important is detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel/Access.
• Need to develop a new Workload tracker using an appropriate application to manage the data.
• Individual must be a good communicator, be able to use their own initiative and able to manage tasks and meet deadlines.

Skills Preferred:
• Driving License and the ability to travel across Midlands sites to support the business. Knowledge of Microsoft Project may also be of benefit.
• Basic CAD skills may also be of benefit in order to visualise and interrogate CAD using Teamcenter Vis Mock Up.

Experience Required:
• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel/Access.
• Previous knowledge of GPIRS system would be of benefit along with experience of the Prototype Vehicle Operations.

Experience Preferred:
• Knowledge of part procurement process for prototype build phases.

Education Required:
• Degree or relevant automotive experience.
