This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.

Candidates will ideally be based in St John's and rotate to site on a 14/7 rotation.

The Role:
As a Quality Advisor - Electrical you will be involved with:
• The incumbent is responsible for Electrical QA/QC oversight, monitoring, surveillance and inspection of electrical construction activities related to all contractors & sub contractors electrical work for the Muskrat Falls Construction Site.
• In this capacity, the incumbent will be required to review and interpret work specifications, drawings, ITP's, procedures, electrical codes and verify that all contractors & sub contractors are fulfilling their obligations as defined in the relevant Agreements/Contracts.
• Provide Owner Construction Electrical oversight for the contractors & sub contractors activities to ensure compliance with the contractual requirements, including identifying and managing key interface points as required for coordination of the overall works;
• Ensure the work is constructed meeting all requirements of the Agreement(s);
• Implement and participate in monitoring, surveillance and inspection programs and activities for construction and installation activities of contractors and sub contractors; (Note: As required the QA Advisor - Electrical maybe required participating in supplier surveillance and inspections).
• Support implementation of Company's Completion processes with Contractors
• Ensure Contractors' and Sub Contractors QA/QC programs are implemented and effective.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As a Quality Advisor - Electrical you will have experience with:
• Electrical Engineer or Electrical Technologist supplemented by experience in construction QA/QC oversight, monitoring, surveillance, electrical inspection, completions and commissioning activities for large hydroelectric projects, or an equivalent combination of education and electrical experience.
• 5 to 10 years of field experience in performing electrical systems monitoring, surveillance and inspection activities on large construction projects;
• Experience in construction quality assurance & quality control, including execution of inspection and test plans;
• Demonstrated ability to digest and interpret construction Agreements including ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, Canadian electrical codes and standards;
• Experience with construction of hydroelectric projects, specifically intake, powerhouse, spillway and transition dams, turbine and generator and balance of plant considered an asse
