The Company:
A leading Australian coal seam gas explorer and producer focused on developing its world-class reserves for domestic and international supply.

The Role:
Position Summary:
- Supports the QA and QC activities performed by the various Delivery Teams and their Contractors within the QCLNG Project to ensure that a consistent approach is taken to QA and QC Activities and ensures that the Quality Policy and Quality Strategy are implemented consistently across the Project.
- Manages all aspects of the QCLNG Project Audit Programme and performs Internal audits across all QCLNG teams including Asset based support functions as agreed within the company.
- Deputises for the QCLNG Quality Manager.

Organisational Structure:
- The incumbent will report directly to the QCLNG Quality Manager under the leadership of the Manager Risk, Assurance and Quality.
- Peers include the QA Coordinator, Assurance Engineer and Risk Analyst.
- This role has no direct reports but has indirect reports embedded within the Project Delivery Teams.

Responsibilities:
• Monitoring the performance of and providing assistance and guidance to the QA/QC personnel embedded in the Delivery Teams and providing functional guidance and assistance when required
• Provision of support during development of quality management system processes
• Provision of support during review of Contractor and Supplier Quality Deliverables
• Manage QCLNG Project audit programme
• Conducting audits of Project Management Team and functional areas/groups to verify implementation of the Project Management System (PMS) documents
• Review the ongoing effectiveness of the PMS during regular project meetings
• When requested by the delivery teams conduct compliance audits of the Principal Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers Quality Management Systems on a risk basis, as defined in the Project Audit Schedule. Log corrective actions and track through to closure. Highlight overdue actions to the PMT
• When requested by the delivery teams, provide support during quality surveillance activities during the Procurement and Construction Phases
• Liaise with the Quality Improvement Engineer to ensure that the audit findings are carried into the Improvement Programme

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical Experience:
• Extensive experience in both QA and QC
• Hands-on experience of quality system auditing (ideally in a Team Leader role): previous formal training desirable
• QA and QC in a Project and/or Corporate role
• Oil and Gas Industry experience
• Extensive experience in implementing and judging the effectiveness and efficiency of Project Management Systems including, Engineering, Contracting and Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, HSSE, Document Control, Project Controls, Quality Management and associated project management functions

Knowledge/Skills:
• Educated to degree or similar level, probably supplemented by on the job training/career development courses in Quality Assurance and HSSE
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001,14001 and OHSAS 18001
• Good working knowledge of relevant International code and Standards
• Good interpersonal skills with a flair for building internal and external networks at all organizational levels
• Target orientated
