The Role:
QA COORDINATOR – BARROW ISLAND - WESTERN AUSTRALIA - $$ ATTRACTIVE - 2 YEAR CONTRACT - LONG TERM PROJECT

As Quality Engineer you will play a pivotal role on the Project and the following will be included in you duties.


Coordinate increased Audit activity at BWI across all disciplines, ensuring Disciplined Managers, Area Construction
and Site Managers are conversant with the raised areas of concern on a daily basis as a result of raised audit actions.
Interface with Site Quality Manager and assist with Weekly and Monthly reporting of audit actions, including daily
interface with Site Quality Control Inspection personnel to monitor and maintain close out of corrective and preventive
actions across all site contracts.
Ensure all Discipline Managers are conversant with the Project Quality Assurance requirements including higher focus
on Project Procedures, Plans and Guidelines.
Site interface and point of contact for GATS, including raising and reporting of Project Audit Activity.
Attend weekly and monthly site management meetings to maintain a higher focus on raised areas of associated risk
resulting from audit activity both on site and activity off site which may impact Construction activity on site.
Implement a more structured and focused audit program based on daily reported areas of risk across all areas of
construction.
Assist all Contractors to better managing their respective internal audit programs, in addition, attend Contractors
Internal Audits as the KJVG delegate, reporting and providing feed back to all site Contractors on a daily basis.
Assist Site Quality Managers in addressing Quality Assurance concerns across all areas of Construction activity.
P.O.C for areas of concern raised by CVX QA Representative located at BWI.
Monitor contractors progressive compilation of their on site MDR’s.
Develop and manage contractor’s surveillance program.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years hands on experience as QA Coordinator or similar role on major construction projects.
Experience with Civil, underground services Piping, electrical plus placement of large precast concrete structures
Experience in the fabrication of large steel structures – eg O&G load-out jetties and/or off shore marine structures.
Working knowledge of international codes and standards related to fabrication and welding of steel structures.

Proactive approach to resolving quality issues.
Intermediate to Advanced computing skills and working knowledge of MS Office Word/Excel.
Formal safety training.
Effective communication and reporting skills.
Previous experience of working on LNG Projects.
Self Starter, able to work unsupervised.
